My pictures deal with the social, societal, and cultural elements that determine identity. I play with the pressure of vernacular surroundings on the individual and the affect returned on that environment. In adolescence, the faults in the world are felt emotionally and powerfully but they are rarely obvious or even describable. I like to build connections between the mundane, depressive, beautiful, hopeful, and daunting through iterations of photography. I currently live in New York.
